PlayStation announced an official 400-page coffee table book detailing the first thirty years of Sony's gaming hardware history. The massive five-kilogram volume chronicles console development across every hardware generation with previously unreleased concept sketches and prototype photographs.
Sony is offering two separate physical packages, beginning with a standard release that will set collectors back a steep $125. Diehard enthusiasts willing to part with $325 can secure a limited deluxe edition featuring custom slipcase packaging and an exclusive poster.
With roughly 300 copies remaining of the limited run, Sony is once again testing how much nostalgic brand loyalty retro hardware fans are willing to bankroll.
