Nora, Princess, And Crying Cat 2 Fan-Service Is Identical On PS4 And Switch; No Mysterious Light

Now that Harukaze’s Nora, Princess, And Crying Cat 2 is out and available for the Nintendo Switch and PS4, gamers are comparing the two different versions and seeing what has changed. According to Japanese players, both the Switch and PS4 versions are identical and there is no mysterious light, opposite of some of the images featured in the first Nora, Princess, And Crying Cat that came out on the PS4.

Twitter user dolly dropped some screenshot comparisons of Nora, Princess, And Crying Cat 2 now that the game has released in Japan. As you can see in the images below, the Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions are identical.

There are a few things worth pointing out here. First up, both versions of the game are censored or uncensored equally. For instance, the game abandons the mysterious bright lights, as pointed out by dolly. So the girls at least have their cleavage falling out of their swimsuits and outfits, instead of having giant lights covering them up, opposite of how censored all the cleavage and midriffs were on the PS4 version of the original Nora, Princess, and Crying Cat.

Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat 2 - Bikini Girls

However, as mentioned, the censorship is also still present across the board. Harukaze aimed for a lower age rating so they ramped up the censorship, which netted them a CERO C rating for those 15+ as opposed to the original game’s CERO D rating for those 17+.

Both the Switch and the PS4 versions feature more steamy effects circulating around the private bits of the girls while they’re in the bathhouse, as indicated in the comparison below.

Nora Princess and Stray Cat 2 - Steam Censorship

As most gamers feared, developers are lazily copying and pasting one version across all platforms. But this was known back in January when it was revealed that Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat 2 would be censored on both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Japanese gamers in dolly’s thread are left confused about the PS4 censorship policy standards. Some are curious if Sony has become lax or if the policies have changed? In other forums others have been wondering if maybe some developers went overboard with the initial requirements?

Either way, the game still contains cleavage shots, bikinis, and slingshot swimsuits, it just doesn’t contain any of the overt ecchi content from the original PC version.

And speaking of PC… Harukaze has a giant “coming soon!!” notice over on the official website, letting gamers know that the original The Princess, The Stray Cat, and Matters of the Heart will be released on Steam. I’m curious if they will have to censor the game to any significant degree to match up with Valve’s own censorship policies or will Jason Ruymen and Arisa Sudangnoi give Harukaze a pass?
