It’s not a late April Fool’s joke. YouTube outlet theScore eSports put out a video condemning the use of the OK hand gesture and claiming that Blizzard Entertainment was right for banning it because it’s a symbol co-opted by “white supremacy”.
The video was posted up on April 9th, 2019, and it’s just under four minutes long, quickly recapping how Blizzard banned audience members from throwing up the OK hand sign for being “racist”. You can view it below.
People obviously did not like the video.

In the video he goes over how the entire OK hand sign meme started as a joke by 4chan to get corrupt journalists to latch onto the idea that the symbol was a sign for white supremacy.
Since journalists don’t fact check, they actually did latch onto this meme created by 4chan, and began writing articles about how using the gesture to signal “OK” with your hand was acknowledging that you were a white supremacist.

The entire thing is a farce.
And now Blizzard Entertainment and YouTube outlets like TheScore eSports are buying into the ridiculous nature of ceding over culture to the Cultural Marxists who insist upon controlling everything you say and do in any facet of public or social interaction.
Thankfully a lot of the commenters were not having it, and they absolutely tore the YouTube channel a new one for kowtowing to the SJW agenda.

This kind of anti-community, anti-culture, pro-censorship agenda has been fostered and spread throughout nearly every major media platform out there. Most people expected as much from Blizzard, since they’ve been on a totalitarian banning spree for all things fun, but YouTubers joining in on that crusade means that there are far fewer alternatives for gamers to look to in order to escape the cold, ever-expanding grasp of censorship.
