Google Stadia Will Not Have A Beta Before Launch

At this point, Google Stadia should be no stranger to gamers or tech enthusiast, and although the controversial service known as Stadia is gearing up to make its debut Q4 of this year, there will not be a beta or test run for folks leading up to the service’s November release.

We’ve reported on Stadia multiple times here on this site and whether it be its initial content, game pricing, or how much the service 4K|60fps streaming option will take, do know our opinion and the service specs are up in the wild through the given links.

Speaking of the service’s specs, you won’t be able to test Stadia early through a public beta or open trial according to a new report by website gamesradar.com.

Instead, the controversial service will go live, and people will either have to test it or leave it at launch. Here’s an excerpt from the publication site explaining the situation at hand:

“Eager to try Google Stadia out for yourself in your living room before you commit to a purchase later this year? Sadly, you won’t be able to. Phil Harrison, Google’s vice president and head of Stadia, confirmed as much in an interview with GamesRadar earlier today. That’s right, there’s no Google Stadia beta en route.”

Seeing that a new service is ramping up with no beta certainly rings warning bells and is likely an attempt to stifle any negative user feedback from potentially reaching the general public early.

On the other hand, a beta or test trial could come out in the third quarter of this year, but given GamesRadar exclusive interview with Phil Harrison, Google’s vice president and head of Stadia, confirming that plans for a beta are not a thing means it’s likely out of the equation.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that if Google’s services are down, then you can’t play your games. Depending on what you say (mean/wrong words) on your Google account, you may lose access to your games. And lastly, sexy and tangy games aren’t available on Stadia. And if for some reason you want to pay for this service, November is when it goes live.
