MidWest FurFest Discriminates Against Gay Jews By Banning Milo Yiannopoulos From Attending

The MidWest FurFest convention set to take place in Chicago, Illinois at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center between December 5th and December 8th, 2019 at the end of the year. Conservative pundit and provocateur, Milo Yiannopoulos, had registered to attend the MidWest FurFest, but after a deluge of complaints came in from bigoted furries, the convention decided to ban Milo from attending.

It started back on August 14th, 2019 when Milo pre-registered to appear at the MidWest FurFest, with the intent of showing up as his “fursona”, a Snow Leopard, based on an image drawn by furry artist DreamKeepers back in 2016. He made the announcement on Telegram. Not long after, furries began to erk and erf across social media, alerting fellow degenerates that Milo was attending the convention. They turned this irksome annoyance into activism, utilizing the current climate of cancel culture to cancel Milo’s appearance at their debauchery-minded event.

Hey for those that don’t know, Milo is a prominent figure of the alt-right who spews hate against minorities on a constant basis.

Don’t let him get away with this. Use this link or tweet at the con. This is the only way we’re going to make a difference.https://t.co/HlnpZR3GhB https://t.co/kibdxgXP7y

After receiving multiple complaints, MidWest FurFest responded on September 15th, 2019, claiming that they would be investigating “all concerns” after receiving multiple support tickets from the furry community who didn’t want Milo in attendance.

We have received a number of mentions and support tickets today – we assure all attendees that your safety is of the utmost importance and is not being ignored. We are investigating all concerns being relayed to us.

A few people responded stating that canceling Milo’s appearance would look bad on the furry community as not being welcoming or accepting. A few felt that banning people from attending the convention would set a bad precedent and prevent the growth of furrydom.

Don’t cave in. This community needs to grow up and stop overreacting. Everyone needs to be on their best behavior, just because he’s attending doesn’t have to mean we agree with his ideology. Treat him like any other person attending.

Let Milo show, let’s not create a community where people are afraid to be who they are if they have a different opinion. Unpopular opinion should not matter there are furries all over the world many of them have different views than we do some may even disgust the average person.

Like a buxom vixen stuck between a futa-demon and a tentacle overlord, or a young boy trapped in a pizzeria with Podesta at the front door and Epstein-approved faculty members from MIT at the rear, MidWest FurFest had no choice but to accept the penetrating demands of outrage culture.

According to Right Wing Watch, Jared Holt was given a statement by MidWest FurFest, where the organizers wrote…

“Hate is not welcome at Midwest FurFest. We are dedicated to providing a safe, harassment-free convention experience for all, regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or personal beliefs. Midwest FurFest can confirm that Mr. Yiannopoulos has registered for the event this year. While the convention generally does not comment on anyone’s registration status, Mr. Yiannopoulos has already stated as much publicly.”

“The board of Midwest Furry Fandom, consistent with our posted code of conduct, has rescinded Mr. Yiannopoulos’s registration. He is not welcome to attend this or any future Midwest FurFest event.”

Permanently banning Milo Yiannopoulos comes across as contradictory to their claims that they provide a “convention experience for all”, especially since Milo is a gay, Greek-Jewish, Conservative.

If you visit the FurFest Code of Conduct page [backup], all of the rules apply to those who actually attend the event. How did Milo violate the Code of Conduct if he hasn’t attended the convention yet?

Since Milo hasn’t violated any of their code of conduct rules, it means they’re discriminating against a gay, Jewish Conservative.

If for nothing else, it appears as if furry-on-furry hate is now a reality, and if you’re not the right kind of gay-furry, then you aren’t welcome in their very exclusionary community.
