NIS America finally offered an update on the situation involving the missing “Active Red” bikini DLC for Juna, which didn’t make the cut for the Western release of Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 for the PS4.
Niche Gamer spotted the update from a tweet that was sent out by NIS America on their official Twitter account.
The company posted the news on November 12th, 2019, indicating that they would be correcting the mistake of not including Juna’s “Active Red” DLC bikini with Altina and Musse, and that when it does arrive it will be free.
Update for Trails of Cold Steel III DLC: Juna’s “Active Red” costume DLC is coming to NA/EU, and will be free for a limited time on release. Please look forward to further details in an upcoming announcement. #TrailsofColdSteelIII pic.twitter.com/cymnJ7Buv8

Initially there was outcry about the missing DLC bikini because it didn’t appear on the PlayStation Store in the U.S., or Europe. The DLC was part of a Kadokawa collaboration with Nihon Falcom that included three bikinis for the girls in Trails of Cold Steel 3. In Japan and Southeast Asia they received all three bikinis for Juna (or Yuuna in Japan), Altina, and Musse.
In North America and Europe the bikinis for Altina and Musse were made available, but Juna’s bikini was not available for purchase as DLC from the PlayStation Store. Heck, even China had access to the bikini DLC.
This led a lot of people on a goose hunt for the reasons why, and NIS America kept it vague and noted that they would be looking into the issue and would have an announcement as soon as more information was available to share. Well, now some of that information is available to share and it’s good news for Western gamers.
We’ll have to stay tuned as to the details regarding the availability of the DLC, and how long it will be free for those in the West.
