Shortly after Lilith released the free version of Taimanin Asagi 1: Trial on Steam, they announced that Taimanin Yukikaze 1: Trial will also be making its way to Steam as well. Whether that means they will be bringing the full erotic visual novel volumes to Valve’s platform in the near future is unclear, but what is clear is that Lilith and Infini-Brain are desperately trying to tap into that illustrious PC market on Steam.
The loli-led H-game was oftentimes joked about as not being kosher enough for Steam, and that there was no way that Valve would let it through, yet here it is. There’s apparently some kind of negotiation wrangling going on behind the scenes where Lilith and Infini-Brain managed to cut down enough of the content to secure a release of the trial version (at the very least) on Steam.
However, the trial version is still labeled as Adults Only, as depicted over on the Steam store page.
There are no explicit images on the page, and the trailer is completely safe for work, save for the female characters being in skin-tight, curve-hugging spandex.
What’s interesting is that if this is the same as the trial version of Taimanin Asagi 1, which also didn’t have any explicit gore, blood, or sexual content, then one has to question why exactly are these trial versions being tagged as Adults Only?
Some gamers are fine with this predicament so long as it opens the door for a true R18+ patch, but it seems kind of silly having a developer completely censor out all the adult content from a H-game and then still label it as Adults Only, and then gamers are required to download an uncensored patch to restore the H-content to an H-game that was censored yet still labeled as an H-game.
Ridiculous.
Anyway, there’s no set release date on when Taimanin Yukikaze 1: Trial will become available on Steam, but you can add it to your wishlist or follow it by visiting the Steam store page.
Also, be sure to keep an eye out on whether or not the visual novel will undergo the same treatment as Lilith’s other release and if it will get hit with the censorship hammer to avoid being banned like what happened before.
