Samurai Shodown’s Mina Majikina DLC Goes Live Feb 26th

SNK Corporation announced that the newest DLC character to join the ever-expanding roster of last year’s outing of Samurai Shodown is Mina Majikina, and the periwinkle-haired beauty is set to arrive on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as a playable pugilist starting February 26th in North America and February 27th in Europe.

Sadly there’s still no PC release in sight for Samurai Shodown, but at least SNK knows their audience well and have been listening quite fervently to feedback when it comes to balance and character additions via DLC.

Mina was easily at the top of the list as far as requests were concerned, and they didn’t disappoint by bringing back the fan-favorite for the current-gen reboot.

We were given a tease of Mina alongside Iroha back in January, but now we have a full trailer for the scantily clad archer.

Mina is a good mid-ranged character with the ability to zone using her her bow. The added ability to rain down aerial attacks or execute anti-air techs using the bow is a great way to keep opponents off their balance.

Mina is one of four new characters that will be joining the roster as part of the season pass bundle. Three of the characters have already been revealed, but I wouldn’t doubt it if we get the final reveal for the fourth character at one of the major upcoming FGC events.

Samurai Shodown - Mina

Speaking of the FGC… Samurai Shodown was one of the few games chosen to be part of EVO 2020’s line-up.

In the meantime, you can look for Mina to go live on February 26th, followed by Sogetsu, and then Iroha, with the fourth surprise character to be unveiled at a later date.

Samurai Shodown is available right now for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The season pass will be available along with the launch of Mina.
