Emojis are apparently now grounds for being banned. One gamer found that out the hard way when they used an emoji in a response to a comment on Discord about non-binary Dwarves in Deep Rock Galactic, to which one of the moderators got triggered and decided to ban the user for “bad emojis”.
Originally the banned gamer took to the Steam forums to ask why they were banned. The user, Cipher, made a thread on March 13th, 2020, writing…
“Discord Server Ban Question
“Could a mod verbalize their reason for the ban, how long the it’s for, and why I didn’t receive any warning whatsoever? (Mobius7**#5***) I didn’t even post anything today, nor do I post often, nor do I use voice channels. Can I defend myself?”
Dwarfurious, a moderator, responded with two screenshots. First they showed the original post from user Varsis, who claimed to use they/them pronouns and was “non-binary” (even though there is no such thing). Varsis asked the Deep Rock Galactic developers to make the Dwarves non-binary in order to appeal to mentally ill people. Some users responded with sick emojis and barfing emojis as you can see in the image below.
Dwarfurious found this to be unacceptable, and proceeded to highlight that since Cipher used the sick emoji and the vomiting emoji, the use of “bad emojis” was enough to warrant a ban.
They explained…
“You were banned for…

that. Bad emojis.”
Like typical Centrists™, people tried to rationalize the situation, talking about female Dwarves and adding them to other games.
Dwarfurious commented that if adding non-binary Dwarves would make more people fans of the species then they were all for it, writing…
“if it makes more people fans of dwarves im all for it. Elves get ALL the female representation and that pulls in men and women because sexy half naked elves are a one-race-fits-all of fanbait.”
What Dwarfurious is ignorant about is a little thing called demographics. The people who like first-person, co-op looter-shooter games starring Dwarves probably don’t give two half-crab buckets of chum about fictionalized identifies like non-binary Dwarves.
Whatever demographic that does exist for such a feature are infinitesimal that you could probably make more money in the market of shining Oxfords at the Venice Beach Boardwalk during a heat wave in July than relying on the insignificant spectrum of consumers pining for “non-binary” Dwarves.
Cipher, however, was not willing to be pushed over so easily and sniped back at the triggered moderator, writing…
“Bad. Emojis. Is there an award for most frivolous ban? I thought banning for reacting to a post was Reddit’s thing now. All I put and kept up was “Male, X, Y”. I wasn’t even that first guy who added “No_Entry, Nausea”. Did everyone who added emoji to the post get banned equally? This is absurd and any sane person knows it.
“[…] It’s not parody, because literally no one gave the emojis any attention until he got online 4 hours later and whined to a mod. In a “coop first” game about Dwarves in Space, “gender expression” provides no value. Catering to a minuscule part of the population won’t make good games, and it won’t make GSG any money. Leave our male/XY dwarves alone.”
With that, Dwarfurious locked the thread.
Remember that the Regressive Left can’t debate. They hate science and facts. They don’t live in a normal reality like the rest of us. In order to propagate their degeneracy they have to rely on censorship and the exclusion of dissenting ideas.
Hence, Cipher had to be banned for not jumping on the mentally ill bandwagon.
Gamers should readily take note of this infestation because if it escalates, you can kiss the quality of Deep Rock Galactic goodbye.
