Corsair Refused to Sponsor Zombie Unicorn, So She Attempts to Send the Mob At Them

Natalie Casanova, aka Zombie Unicorn, is once again attempting to garner relevancy by tacking herself onto another trendy social movement. 2018 saw her last major attempt with her hosting the Bully Hunters Livestream, where she denounced gamers as vile harassers that single out and target women to drive them from the hobby.

Immediately those sponsoring the event to capitalize on appearing socially conscious to garner a large chunk of the millennial market were shocked and mortified at what they had put their name on. Steel Series, the largest sponsor, issued a direct apology for the event via Facebook, attempting to assure people they were not the organizers of the event. An appearance that arose because of the prominence of their name during the event.

Despite their apology, the blow-back was so severe at one point it was reported they were considering rebranding just to distance themselves from the controversy.

Years later and Zombie Unicorn is attempting to latch onto the Black Lives Matter movement and transform its momentum towards feminism. By feminism, I do of course, mean misandric supremacy with Corsair being targeted after refusing to partner with her. Not for her “homophobic” or sexist comments. Instead, their concerns were over her painting her nude body on Twitch.

I understand tweeting about this will probably stop them from wanting to sponsor me again, but it needed to be said. If you’re going to stand up for equality, #blm and against prejudice – then that means for women and lgbtq+ too.

These people don’t seem to understand that while they can silence conservatives with fear or losing their job or having their family targeted, they cannot get them to purchase from companies that actively promote values they do not agree with. Imagine Corsair, a gaming company, having their name associated with an anti gamer who streams herself nude.

When people attempted to point out to her that this was indeed a violation of Twitch’s Terms of Service, she refused to believe it. Until another twitter user highlighted a different streamer with less renown and thus no special preferential treatment from Twitch staff getting banned for the same behavior.

Naturally, it cannot be her fault, so the mob following the latest trendy outrage topic should attack the company. She is correct; this will not garner her their sponsorship, but she doesn’t appear to realize the damage she is doing to her own brand. Shakedowns require one to have a position of power, be it financially, resources, or reach. As she has none outside a small echo chamber, all other businesses will see is a liability to their brand, not a benefit.
