Gothic 1 Remake Update Adds Marvin Mode And Photo Mode Features

Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic have deployed a fresh update for the Gothic remake, officially restoring the franchise's legendary Marvin Mode developer console. The patch also introduces a dedicated photo mode alongside expanded customization options and general stability fixes.

Longtime fans of the cult-classic German action RPG will recognize Marvin Mode as the iconic debug engine that allowed players to test cheats, manipulate game assets, and freely roam the Colony. Bringing the feature back into the modernized Unreal Engine build honors the sandbox tinkering that defined the original Piranha Bytes titles.

The new update also squashes lingering gameplay bugs while handing virtual photographers robust camera tools to capture the Valley of Mines. Gothic 1 Remake remains in active development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
