Assistant D.A. Cindy Hendrickson Fails To Address Revenge Porn Case Involving Stanford Employee

Stanford University employee and clinical cancer trials research coordinator, Alana Pague, has allegedly been involved with attempting to spread revenge porn in exchange for money. The alleged extortion was just one part of Pague’s lawfully infringing antics, which also involved allegedly kidnapping a child, and stealing a car.

This might sound like some sort of bizarre Lifetime home movie, but it’s a real case.

According to a Patch.com article published on May 5th, 2018, Pague is being taken to court in a lawsuit over attempting to extort the plaintiff over revenge porn, as well as kidnapping the child of the co-plaintiff and also stealing their car.

While this might seem like an open and shut case against Alana Pague, apparently it’s not. Pague pleaded the Fifth regarding the revenge porn charges when they were brought up in the suit, and for some reason Pague was not charged for any of the crimes, according to Patch.

So why was that? Well, according to the article it all fell on the shoulders of Assistant District Attorney Cindy Hendrickson. However, Hendrickson never followed through with any charges, never made any public statements, and proceeded to reject the cases out of turn.

This comes after people beckoned both Hendrickson and the Mountain View Police Department to follow through with an investigation. The official Mountain View Twitter account responded stating that they take such reports seriously, even though no charges against Pague were filed.

@chMtnViewPD We take such reports seriously + investigate thoroughly.

The really bizarre part is that there has been a campaign to get Assistant District Attorney Cindy Hendrickson to pursue the case but nothing has come of it. It would seem almost open and shut since Pague had allegedly admitted to the Mountain View PD that she did in fact have the images illegally obtained from a computer and did attempt to extort the plaintiff.

According to some Twitter users, attempting to make Hendrickson aware of this issue and ask her why she did not pursue the case against Pague — even with all the evidence, the arrest on record, and the testimony about revenge porn extortion — has resulted in them being blocked by her on Twitter.

.@CindyH4Judge – ADA Cindy Hendrickson – you have been accused of favoritism in not prosecuting a violent offender, Alana Pague. Have you got any comments apart from blocking? https://t.co/zwMvfvpMpB

Ironically, this comes during a time when the Palo Alto Online did an editorialized report on Hendrickson, vying for her to become the next Superior Court Judge on June 5th, 2018.

Hendrickson does take note of comments and tweets made on Twitter, and even acknowledged the Palo Alto report but refuses to address the concerns regarding the revenge porn and child kidnapping case.

Thank you Palo Alto Daily Post for recognizing my record and endorsing me for Superior Court Judge of Santa Clara County. “As a prosecutor for 22 years, Hendrickson has more courtroom experience than most attorneys will have in their careers.” Vote https://t.co/J3BIsy3rdG #cindy pic.twitter.com/ATRdIkVjps

There’s even greater irony in all of this given that back on April 27th, 2018 Hendrickson thanked the women of Silicon Valley for awarding her with the Honoree Unsung Hero plaque during the National Crime Victims Week, which centered around abuse victims for the elderly, children, and those suffering from sex related crimes.

Thank you Women of Silicon Valley for awarding me Honoree Unsung Hero during Nat’l Crime Victims Week. For over 20 yrs, I have been a strong advocate for the most vulnerable victims in our society: elders, dependent adults, children, & domestic violence & sexual assault victims. pic.twitter.com/vJRpbzIQNf

As of this moment, the plaintiffs are currently collecting funds for the lawsuit against Alana Pague over on the GoFundMe page. They’re currently looking for $7,000 for the lawsuit.

I did reach out to Assistant District Attorney Cindy Hindrickson, and if she opts to respond the article will be updated with her comments.
