The censorship targeting Yuu Kamiya’s various iterations of No Game, No Life continues to escalate. This time the perpetually offended have set their sights on playmats offered by e-tailers, and they managed to get one of the playmats removed from the store.
Sankaku Complex is reporting that on August 14th, 2020 a Twitter user going by the handle Tolarian Community College – a supposed cardboard accessory reviewer – complained that they didn’t like the playmat for No Game, No Life sold on Ultra Pro because of the way it depicted a fictional 11-year-old.

After receiving more than a thousand likes and the typical support from blue checkmarks, Ultra Pro removed the playmat from their store. If you attempt to visit the store page, you now get a 404 error of where the No Game, No Life playmat used to be.

Typically Centrists™ will attempt to deny that Ultra Pro ever sold the playmat or attempt to claim that the pro-censorship Leftist didn’t incite the removal of the playmat. However, Sankaku Complex posted up an image of the store page where the playmat used to be available for $18.99, which you can view below.

Additionally, another blue checkmark on Twitter is in the thread acknowledging that after Tolarian Community College made the tweet, the playmat was removed.
I hate that the only reason it was taken down was because you said something.
Like someone deadass looked at this and decided to sell it.

For anyone who has been paying attention to the news, there has been a concerted effort to wipe all things No Game, No Life out of Western media, from the shelves retailers, and out of the supply of e-tailers.
Several volumes have already been banned from bookstores in Australia, while some of the light novels have been removed from Amazon. The online outlet, Book Depository, also had No Game, No Life removed from their inventory.
There’s been a systematic establishment of censorship levied against properties such as No Game, No Life, while other popular media such as Clockwork Planet, Eromanga Sensei and Goblin Slayer have also been targeted.
As mentioned in previous posts, the censorship won’t end here. They’ll keep pushing and keep escalating it until every light novel series, manga, and anime you enjoy has been censored or banned.
