Activision appears to be gearing up for another return to 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 following a fresh classification board discovery. The Australian Classification Board officially handed the iconic military first-person shooter an R 18+ rating on October 1.
While Activision previously released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered back in 2020, that package notoriously stripped out the beloved multiplayer and Spec Ops modes. Players immediately began speculating whether this unexpected rating filing signals a complete package release or an updated modern console port.
If you spent your teenage years quickscoping on Rust or running Favela lobbies, do not get your hopes too high until publisher Activision makes an official announcement across current-gen platforms.
