Bungie announced that vaulted Destiny 2 content will officially begin returning to the live-service shooter starting in February 2027. Development on restoring the archived material will kick off that month, with the studio estimating the complete unvaulting process will take roughly twelve months.
The rollout will happen in phases, prioritizing the original Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken story campaigns. Raids and legacy PvE activities like the Menagerie will also return, and Bungie confirmed that all unvaulted content will be accessible free of charge.
Alongside the content restoration, Bungie is developing a dedicated Celebration event alongside a mysterious project dubbed Legacy. If you have been waiting years to revisit the cut campaigns, you still have quite a wait ahead before the vault doors finally open.
