Crimson Desert has revealed the Charting the Unknown expansion, introducing a sprawling ocean biome packed with narrative quests and underwater exploration. The massive content drop expands the open-world adventure with dedicated naval mechanics, explorable depths, and aquatic wildlife.
Players can construct and customize personal ships, design interior living spaces to their liking, and tame rideable marine creatures including penguins and sea turtles. The expansion also introduces conquerable islands where you can establish outposts, lease liberated territories for profit, and test your skills in a dedicated boss rush mode.
Technical upgrades round out the release, enabling players to leverage Nvidia DLSS upscaling alongside AMD FSR features simultaneously for optimal performance. Crimson Desert remains in active development across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
