Grand Theft Auto VI Interiors Feature Handcrafted NPC Storytelling Details

Grand Theft Auto VI art director Aaron Garbut revealed that interior environments across Vice City feature meticulous handcrafted details designed to tell stories about individual civilian residents.

Players can reportedly enter almost any building they stumble across throughout the sprawling map without running into generic copy-pasted floor plans. Rockstar Games allegedly hand-crafted home interiors with personal family portraits, customized furniture, and clutter tailored to whoever lives inside.

Previous gameplay leaks already pointed toward dedicated break-and-enter mechanics, meaning home invasions could play a far bigger systemic role than in earlier entries. If you enjoyed snooping through NPC dwellings in Red Dead Redemption 2, Vice City appears ready to crank that level of environmental voyeurism up even higher.

Grand Theft Auto VI remains slated for release in late 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC port expected somewhere further down the line.
