Grand Theft Auto VI Saves Players Five Thousand Dollars Claims British Millionaire

British entrepreneur Mark Tilbury claims Grand Theft Auto VI will effectively save players around $5,000 by keeping them glued to their consoles instead of spending cash on nights out. Tilbury broke down the math assuming a rumored $100 retail price tag for Rockstar Games' upcoming open-world crime epic.

According to Tilbury's breakdown, completing the core campaign will take roughly 80 hours, while diving into side activities across Vice City easily pushes playtimes past 200 hours. If you work a regular job and log four hours of playtime each evening, a single copy provides 50 nights of interactive entertainment at roughly fifty cents per hour.

Comparing those gaming sessions to typical nights out at bars, movie theaters, and restaurants averaging $100 an outing reveals thousands of dollars in preserved savings. Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled to launch in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
