Honkai Nexus Anima Combines Creature Catching Mechanics With Auto Chess

HoYoverse is expanding its flagship sci-fi franchise with Honkai: Nexus Anima, an upcoming creature-collecting gacha project reportedly targeting a spring 2027 release window. The game tasks players with capturing and training diverse beasts before commanding them across tactical battlefield encounters.

Combat mechanics reportedly borrow heavily from the Auto Chess genre alongside party-building depth that early impressions already compare to a hybrid of Pokemon and Baldur's Gate 3. Players will manage monster synergies, positioning, and skill rotations across grid-based arenas set within the established Honkai universe.

A closed beta test is scheduled to launch on November 25 following an initial participant signup period closing on November 22. If you want an early look at how HoYoverse plans to reshape monster-taming games, application access is rolling out across community portals ahead of testing.
