Dead by Daylight's recent Steam reviews have sunk further since the last report, with the last 3 days now sitting at 82% negative off the back of 1909 negative and 416 positive reviews.
For context, recent reviews were running at just 26% negative before this whole thing kicked off, and had already swung to 52% negative by the time this site covered it on November 3.
The story so far, according to players, is that Behaviour Interactive lined up a promotional collab with a content creator, then backed away from it after a loud reaction from part of the community.
The daily numbers show how fast it snowballed, going from 116 negative reviews on November 1 to 262 on November 2, then 448 on November 3, before peaking at 1,285 negative against 147 positive on November 4.
What makes this round different is who is doing the complaining, because the most upvoted reviews are not angry about the collab itself – they are angry that Behaviour Interactive folded.
One reviewer with 95.5 hours, whose post has racked up 2,547 helpful votes, accused the studio of pandering to a small slice of the community that claims to speak for everyone.
Another reviewer, sitting at 1,159 helpful votes, put it bluntly: "You guys are just enabling cyber bullying and harassment." That same review claims members of the dev team were doxxed and harassed over the promotion, and other reviews repeat that claim while accusing the studio of not standing behind its own staff.
Meanwhile, Behaviour Interactive's official Steam posts have said nothing about any of it, with the most recent update being an October 30 announcement for a custom Alienware laptop sweepstakes, following the October 28 Terrifier PTB patch notes and an October 29 backend balance patch for The Executioner and The Good Guy.
A free laptop giveaway is not quite the statement players were asking for.
There is a small sign the wave may be cooling, with November 5 logging 112 positive and 176 negative reviews, but that is still a long way from the 26% negative baseline the game was holding before this started.
