Lords of the Fallen 2 debuted a new gameplay trailer showcasing its grim dark-fantasy soulslike combat alongside an official budget disclosure. CI Games and Hexworks revealed that the ambitious sequel carries an overall budget of $55 million spanning active game development and worldwide marketing.
The footage doubles down on punishing melee combat, grotesque monstrosities, and expanded twin-realm exploration mechanics inherited from the 2023 reboot. CI Games previously locked down a long-term publishing agreement with Epic Games to distribute the PC version alongside existing console platforms.
Publishers appear determined to give the project sufficient runway to avoid the technical hitches and performance stumbles that plagued the previous entry. Lords of the Fallen 2 is officially slated to launch in the first quarter of 2027 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
