Rumor Watch: Kennedy Attempting to Hijack Mandalorian Season 2

There I was enjoying raging over some Nioh 2 when suddenly I got a broadcast from the center of the Earth from culture hero and future ruler of Earth Doomcock. In his latest broadcast, which he assures us he has confidence in — but that we should take with a grain of salt over — he brings news of the happening inside Disney leading up to the second season of the Mandalorian.

His source relayed a bit of interesting history before delving into the latest happenings. Originally Kathleen Kennedy envisioned the show as a way to explain how Palpatine survived a five mile fall into the core of the death star, rebuilt his forces in secret, and rose to immense power. Those wondering why Palpatine — despite being officially called a clone — has all the damage he sustained from Episode 3 and 6 now know that is because that is the original Palpatine.

Jon Favreau was having none of it and teamed up with George Lucas to confront Iger with their displeasure at the idea. Iger ultimately sided with the pair and it was at this juncture that Kennedy was forced to step back from the production of the Disney Plus Star Wars content.

It is also reported that she never appeared on the set of the canceled Obi Wan show. In fact, the cancellation came at the last minute not from her, but from Iger directly. Reportedly a representative of Disney came on set and read off a cancellation notification to the entire staff days before shooting was scheduled to begin.

Not all is well as it seems as Iger and Kennedy are up to their old woke agenda pushing. For they have agreed on a design for season two of the Mandalorian so obscenely bad it would forever destroy any chance Disney has at utilizing the franchise. In Season 2 their plan is to reveal Baby Yoda is, in fact, a reincarnated Yoda. Never mind that Yoda was still a force ghost by the time of the Last Jedi and the Rise of Skywalker. Never mind that having him reincarnated and re-obtaining his memories as the series progresses would once again undo the entirely of Disney’s trilogy by raising the issue of why Yoda didn’t just go and take down the first order or aid the resistance.

Their plan is essentially to bring back Yoda like they did Palpatine. Why? To explain how Rey is a complete Mary Sue. For you see Disney didn’t write a bad script with a flat lifeless character that could do everything because as Doomcock phrases it “she’s the bestest ever.” No, you see the force made her a Mary Sue because that is what the galaxy needed.

If you’re thinking “doesn’t that negate the entire prequel trilogies premise of the force seeking a balance between Yin and Yang?” you’d be correct. Fortunately, both Favreau and Filoni are dead apposed to this direction. In another fortunate turn of events, it is unknown how much influence and power Iger has inside Disney. As it is now believed he was ousted from his position in a vote of no confidence and it was timed to avoid a double impact to their stock price.

With the media looking for any excuse to hate on Star Wars following the Rise of Skywalker undoing the Last Jedi as much as possible Disney would have to be brain dead to execute such an order. With Lucas on their side and the nuclear option of threatening to leave as the only talent capable of producing a profitable Star Wars, I’d bet on them getting their way with Season 2 continuing to have nothing to do with the Kennedy verse. If they do lose their internal power struggle thanks to LucasFilm being able to hold secrets worse than a colander is able to hold water, we will know about it long before the travesty airs.
