“Everything is racist and sexist” one of the Regressive Left’s most prominent pundits once said. That seems to be the motto that every single major media company is going with these days. Amazon Prime’s The Boys is heading down that route with the second season introduction of Stormfront, a gender-swapped iteration of the super soldier from the comic book.
As pointed out by Gizmodo, Stormfront’s origins have been completely turned on its head. Instead of being a Nazi super soldier smuggled into the United States, Stormfront is now a Jewish woman who was converted to Nazism via Alt-Right online communities, a complete fabrication of reality. Farcical
The site explains…
“Kripke said Stormfront’s origins have been changed to better reflect white nationalism in the 21st century. Instead of being a literal Nazi who was created in the 1940s, she’s a product of the alt-right’s ability to use the internet to recruit, control, and manipulate. The truth about her thoughts, feelings, opinions, and background will be revealed as we get to know the character better—showing how white nationalism can lurk under the surface.”
The whole thing is a farce and a complete misinterpretation of the original comic’s satire.
That’s not to mention that the “Alt-Right” isn’t even a thing. Basically it’s a label doled out by every crazy Left-wing degenerate when someone doesn’t agree that society needs to be a majority gay, Communist, hell-hole with open-borders and poop littering the streets, and aborted fetuses hanging out of every corner trash can. But I digress.
Entertainment Weekly, who nabbed the first set of photos of actress Aya Cash in her ridiculous getup as a gender-swapped Stormfront, was told by actor Anthony Starr – who plays the charismatic sociopath Homelander – that she becomes a thorn in the villain’s side…
“She’s the grenade that gets thrown into Homelander’s world and the world of the Seven. She really causes me so many problems.”
This is a complete departure from the comic book given that Stormfront was never a pang in the pillow of Homelander’s hopes and dreams. Instead, Stormfront led his own little group known as Payback and tussled with The Boys.
According to one of the showrunners, Eric Kripke, he told Coming Soon that they decided to modernize Stormfront’s depiction for the Amazon Prime show for the 21st century, saying…
“Where the idea emerged, and without spoiling too much, what I’ll say is under the writer room mantra of ‘Bad for the world, good for the show.’ We’re all news junkies, and we tend to pay attention to things that are happening out there in the world, and how do we use our super heroes as a metaphor for that? And I am horrified and sad to report that there is a rise of white nationalism. And it’s taking a very different form than it took in the 40s. It takes a very social media savvy trying to attract young men and women form. And so, we got really interested in creating a character that could represent that for us. And so, as I would say, it’s not the version in the book, but I would say they have the same rotten soul.”
If you had any hope for a better season 2 of The Boys, put it in a cupboard and latch it up tight because that’s never going to happen.
Subversion comes in all shapes and forms, and they’re trying their darndest to ensure that no normal person will ever be able to consume media without being bludgeoned over the head with their propaganda.
