Ubisoft rolled out an update on the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, confirming surprise post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla alongside progress reports on upcoming spin-offs. The 2020 Viking adventure will receive a long-requested New Game Plus mode on November 5, accompanied by new achievements, fresh runes, and a Mithril crafting tier for divine gear.
Beyond extending Eivor's lengthy campaign, Ubisoft revealed that its multiplayer standalone project Assassin’s Creed Invictus recently concluded another round of internal playtests. Early participants reportedly highlighted responsive parkour mechanics and praised the roster variety that lets players control different assassins across multiple historical settings.
Meanwhile, the darker medieval witch-themed title Assassin’s Creed Hexe remains in steady production, though publisher executives confirmed that substantial reveals will not arrive until 2027. Ubisoft also admitted that no additional classic remakes are actively in development, leaving nostalgic fans waiting while live-service projects take center stage.
