Electronic Arts Vancouver Lawn Turned Into Graveyard Honoring Closed Studios

Electronic Arts received a blunt reminder of its corporate track record after a gamer turned the lawn outside its Vancouver office into a mock cemetery honoring shuttered development studios.

The impromptu graveyard features tombstones commemorating beloved teams swallowed up and closed by the publisher over the decades, including Visceral Games, Westwood Studios, Pandemic Studios, Bullfrog Productions, Origin Systems, and Maxis. The display even featured a symbolic tombstone for BioWare, highlighting years of player frustration over studio mismanagement and recent layoffs.

While EA continues to lean on live-service franchises and sports licenses, gamers have never forgotten the mountain of creative talent cast aside along the way.
