Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Series X-BITE, a bizarre custom console shaped like a snarling swamp alligator to celebrate Grand Theft Auto VI. The hardware manufacturer collaborated with John Nolan Studio, an animatronics team known for practical creature effects in Jurassic World and Netflix's The Witcher.
The one-of-a-kind system features scaly skin and jagged teeth wrapping around the console chassis, mimicking the infamous swamp predators roaming Rockstar's fictional state of Leonida. Beneath the animatronic reptilian jaws sits standard Xbox Series X hardware that fully functions for everyday gameplay.
Microsoft plans to give away the sole custom unit through an official social media sweepstakes rather than offering it at retail. If you want a monstrous reptilian monolith guarding your entertainment center, you will have to rely on sheer luck to win it.
