An ambitious gamer has published an open letter offering Ubisoft more than five million euros in private capital to rescue Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The fan, known on social media as NachoRB, wants to step in directly to pull the troubled project out of persistent production limbo.
According to the published proposal, the backer claims zero interest in claiming publisher royalties, project intellectual property rights, or backend commercial profits. Instead, the proposal insists that the cash infusion exists entirely to ensure the community finally receives the finished adventure.
Ubisoft previously stripped the remake from its Pune and Mumbai studios back in 2022, handing responsibilities over to Ubisoft Montreal where progress remains largely quiet. The French publisher has not issued any public response regarding whether it will entertain the massive bailout offer.
